Some stories arrive as memories.
Others arrive as poems.

These snowbirds have been returning to Ocean Lakes Family Campground for several years, and when asked to share a memory of the Grand Strand, they decided a paragraph wasn’t enough.

They sent this instead.

Because the Strand Deserves a Little Fluff

You asked to send in a story; you said a paragraph is enough,
But how about a poem instead because the Strand deserves a little fluff.

Two years now these snowbirds travelled far to Ocean Lakes,
A decision to book a third year, now that’s a piece of cake.

Oh yes we love the campgrounds and we also love the Strand.
We love the ocean, food and shops, and the southern charm is grand.

I said I’d write a poem, but I might just have to write a book,
Because what we love about the Strand, well it’s just off the hook!
